← Tennis Club Open Day: Sat 23 May Queens Park Crime Statistics →The Queen’s Park Dog Show, better known as Bark in the Park, bursts into life on Sunday 14 June, 2015. Brought to you by the Friends of Queen’s Park and our co-sponsors Coastway Veterinary Group, this year’s Bark will feature two parallel competitions: the Fun Ring and the Pedigree Ring.
The Coastway team will be operating the registration with their customary professionalism, starting from 11am sharp.
Entry to each class costs £1.50 with all profits from the day going towards improvements to the dog area in the park. The show proper starts at 12 noon.
The Fun Ring has 12 barking mad classes. Rosettes, prizes and places will be offered in the following categories [click on link to visit sponsor site]:

Veterinary nurses Hannah Pook and Heather Ryan will have the tricky job of awarding the gongs and local dog lover and TV’s I’m A Celebrity -the lovely Annabel Giles will be hosting the proceedings. Our very own Barkmeister Crispin Wynne-Roberts will be introducing our sponsors and keeping order. Attempting to, at least. Have you ever tried lining up 30 dogs to catch a sausage?’

Joining us will be all manner of doggy related local businesses who will have stalls offering such treats as designer collars and leads, handmade snacks, professional dog photography, pet sitting and walking services and even comfy new dog beds. For humans, we offer a small licensed bar from our friends at the Camelford Arms, a genuine German bratwurst grill, plus delicious cakes and pastries from local cafe the Wooden Belly. Queen’s Park: where every dog has its day.
