← Great Brighton Bake Off: Sun 28 June Our New Web Address →FQP’s indefatigable Volunteers co-ordinator Chris Lowe is arranging a Wild Garden session with Park Ranger Lindsay Cattanach on Sunday 10 May. Tools will be supplied.
Join them in the Wild Garden at 11am, for some ‘micro gardening’. All welcome. Please contact Chris [07761674827, [email protected]] if you are planning to attend.
Chris says: “Some of the plants we put during November are now in flower but a bit of micro gardening will give others a helping hand. Our native bluebells are a bit swamped by the Spanish variety plus some long grass and Comfrey escaped from the herb beds. Elsewhere, there’s Nettle and Great Willow Herb seeking to boss the show so we hope to remove some of these.
A circular path around the top of the slope might divert footfall away from wildflowers.
If you have a particular interest in wildlife, plants and plans for this area please bring your observations and ideas. We can also share what we know of the Master Plan for this area.”
