Picnic In The Park: News Update

June 26th, 2015

Here’s the latest news about Picnic In The Park, which kicks off on Sunday at midday. First of all, The Friends Of Queens Park has secured a music and alcohol license for this event. Hooray! All the boxes have been ticked, and the bands are tuning up. Weather forecast: “Mostly dry through the afternoon with some breaks in the cloud allowing some sunshine and it will again feel warm”.

New: The Author Tent at Picnic will be up and running from midday, and features a dazzling selection of local writers. Pop by and pick up a good read for your summer holidays. There’s lots of kids books too. Full details here.

New: The kids activities have been upgraded, turbo boosted and generally spiffed up. The Bowling Green is being transformed into a dedicated kids area, with stage. Warm thanks to Paul Dawson & Kingdom Landscapes for their generous help in preparing the groundwork.
