Disused Building For Rent in QP
Brighton & Hove County Council has approached commercial real estate agents Avison Young to find a tenant for the disused toilet block next the Queens Park arch on West Drive.
“We want something productive happen to this property. It would be nice to see a derelict building taken over and restored, benefitting the local park and community,” said Hugo Watts, of Avison Young.
The building has been unoccupied for ten years, and the roof is condemned. The area around the building has recently been a magnet for spray-can tagging and drug dealing.
Rental offers are invited in the region of £7,500 per annum, with the possibility of a rental holiday for refurbishment works.
Based in Toronto, Canada, Avison Young has over 5,000 employees and offices in 20 countries.
Avison Young did their first site viewing last week, and plan another showing in the near future. “We’ve had mostly food-based inquiries, but the building could also be used as a small office. It is available purely for commercial use, but if that doesn’t work out the council would need to explore other options,” said Watts.
