← Shakespeare in the Park 2012 – HENRY V Johnny Woodford bench gone. →We often get enquiries about hiring parts of the Park for private parties. Brighton & Hove Council Parks Department have clarified that the Park is a public open space and that it is not possible to hire any part of the Park. You are however welcome to picnic or have small parties as long as this does not restrict the enjoyment of the Park by other members of the public. Please remember that the Scented Garden is a quiet space and should not be used for parties.
We have been asked to remind you that barbecues may only be used on areas of hard-standing and not on the grass. ( One could always place the BBQ trays on bricks etc) Burnt grass does not recover quickly and isn’t at home in a prospective Green Flag park.
