Annual General Meeting
Please join us for this year’s Annual General Meeting of the Friends Of Queen’s Park. This is a open meeting, and all local residents are invited to attend. The AGM will take place on Tuesday 21st October 2014, 7.30pm, at the Queen’s Park Tennis Club.
Volunteers Help Pond Improvements
The Queen’s Park Pond was much in the news in late summer. A local aerial photographer, Eddie Mitchell (@brightonsnapper), took a magnificent photo of the park which unfortunately highlighted the bright green colour of the pond. Read more…

Microchipping helps identify your dog if lost or stolen and it will soon be a legal obligation for all dogs to be chipped – so don’t miss out. The Dogs Trust is working to ensure all dogs are chipped, and that little bit safer.

Frazer The Wonder Dog
The competition to win 2013 Bark In The Park’s first ever pedigree ‘Best In Show’ was close – until the AV Gun Dog category. That’s when the judge took one good look at the Irish Red Setter ‘Frazer’ and knew he’d found a champion. Now, in this year’s Bark in the Park, Fazer has not only won AV Gun Dog , but once again Best In Pedigree Show. Amazing. Read more…
Waiting For The Swifts
Take a visit to the Clock Tower in Queen’s Park. Admire its noble form and elegant brickwork, then close your eyes and use your ears. You will hear birdsong, specifically the unmistakeable sound of the Swift.
Top Judge for this year’s Bark
We are delighted to announce that the Head Vet at Crufts, Andreas Schemel, will be judging the Pedigree Ring at this year’s Bark in the Park. We are equally delighted to say that Annabel Giles will once again be MC’ing the Fun Ring. A huge thank you to both of them. Shakespeare In The Park 2014
Shakespeare In The Park returns this summer with Illyria‘s production of Macbeth, ‘a blood-soaked tragedy of vaulting ambition’. The performance will take place at the Royal Spa on Sunday 6th July.
